Company Overview:

Mylab, the leading expert in healthcare laboratory and diagnostics information systems in the Nordic countries, has been at the forefront of technological advancements for 37 years. Our mission is to foster a healthier society by integrating people, systems, and data.

Our systems manage and transport data throughout the entire laboratory process, from order to results. Currently, 80% of lab samples in Finland are processed through our software, with over 100 million lab tests conducted through our solutions in 2023 alone. In 2024, we acquired the Swedish-Danish company Autonik, hence our application solutions are now available across all Nordic markets. We are aiming to be the leading player in our field in the Nordic countries.

We are currently undergoing a cultural and technological transformation and striving to level up and develop our whole application solution suite further. Thus, Mylab is now seeking an experienced and bold Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us on this significant transformation journey and lead the way to a new and exciting direction.

Detailed information about the position:

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and its implementation in our healthcare software product business. The CTO will play a central role in shaping the future of our technology offerings and driving innovation to enhance our competitive advantage in the market. This is a new position and the CTO will be part of the leadership team and report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Innovation:

• Take an ownership of and set clear direction and objectives that are aligned with Mylab’s vision and mission

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.

• Identify and assess new technologies and industry trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation in our business area.

Technical Leadership:

• Lead the overall architecture, design, and development of the company’s software products with the ability to be hands-on when necessary. 

• Collaborate with product management to define the technical roadmap and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Optimize the company's software development process to improve technical efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Change and people Leadership:

• Play a pivotal change leadership role, leading with boldness, curiosity and empathy when working across groups.

• Provide pragmatic leadership style in order to enhance organizational and cultural transformation.

• Provide vision and direction in a way that both inspires and encourages, but also builds consensus among others.

• Provide vision for an organizational structure which is under change as well. Leadership responsibility holds great expectation since the leads of the product development units will be your direct reports.

Security, Quality, and Compliance:

• Ensure the necessary levels of security and data privacy in all software solutions and within the company having overall responsibility of information management.

• Oversee the development of the company’s quality management system in line with our business needs and integrate it into daily operations and technical risk assessments.

• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Ensure close collaboration across all the development and other technical teams and the leadership team members.

• Communicate the company’s technology strategy to stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers, with openness and confidence.

What we expect from you:

• Strong experience in a CTO role or leading technology position in a B2B SaaS company.

• Strong technical background, expertise in software development, cloud services, and emerging technologies.

• Proven ability to develop and implement technology strategies that drive business growth and innovation.

• Strong business acumen, ability to align technology projects with business objectives.

• Excellent leadership and management skills and ability to inspire and motivate technology teams.

• Previous experience in a supervisor role required. 

• Good understanding of security, quality, and regulatory requirements in enterprise software solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Compensation:

Typical hiring range per month: 7000e-8000e.

Actual compensation will be determined based on previous experience and level of competence.
