Job Description - Pre-Sales Engineer EMEA: Embedded Products

Tuxera is a world-leading provider of quality-assured data storage management software and networking technologies.

Our storage software also extends the finite lifetime of the flash memory, so you don’t have to worry about unexpected storage burnout. And we always strive to achieve the best performance with our software, so that rapidly flowing streams of data from multiple sources are securely captured on the hardware.

We started out as just a few developers working separately on open-source NTFS file system development during the 1990s. Today we’ve grown to the largest team of file systems and storage developers in the world, with offices throughout the world including USA, Europe, and Asia.

Pre-Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force, working within the Sales Organization to qualify prospects and educate them about the value proposition of our solutions. They are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in partnership with the sales executive as the key technical advisor and product advocate.

They must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process, and be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Above all the Pre-Sales Engineers must be focused on helping move the sale forward, and must be commercially orientated.

• Deliver on-site and web-based presentations/demonstrations of the Tuxera solution to prospects

• Coordinate closely with internal sales, sales support, Product Management and service support resources to align solution design with prospect and customers’ business requirements

• Consult with prospects to assess value of our solution based on their needs, and objectives, and producing an implementation plan to achieve these outcomes.

• Own technical accountability to driving the sales cycle providing guidance and strategic input along with validation of adherence to the MEDDPIC sales methodology

• Develop and maintain additional collateral to assist in the sales process as required

• Maintain a high level of proficiency in all aspects of the Tuxera product including advance education on new releases and product roadmap

• Actively participate in all appropriate training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position

• Own technical accountability to driving the sales cycle providing guidance and strategic input along with validation of adherence to the sales methodology

• Adhere to Tuxera’s values (see below).

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Knowledge/experience of process, functional, technical and tactical aspects of embedded software development projects.

• Ability to articulate at a technical and non-technical level in varying environments

• Critical analytical skills to assist in problem solving

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Experience in one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Industrial Automation, Medical, Smart Energy, Telco.

• Technical Knowledge of TCP/IP based secure connectivity and/or software flash data storage technologies such as file systems and flash translation layers.

• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards such as functional safety (e.g., ISO26262 and DO-178C) or cyber security.

• Proficient in CRM software (ideally Salesforce) and sales management tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Intellectually and socially intelligent, good with technology and with people.

• Passion for winning, and results-driven, self starter.

• Ability to influence others to achieve results with strong negotiation and persuasive skills.

• An aptitude for understanding technology and converting that value into business benefit and translating into selling strategies to all levels in a client’s hierarchy.
