Job Description - Product Sales Manager

Are you skilled at finding the best economic and technical solutions in a technology-based service business?

We are currently looking for a Product Sales Manager to promote and sell roll maintenance services, roll coverings, and related service agreements, as well as to provide technical sales support. You will serve designated Board and Paper mills customers in Finland, working in close co-operation with other Valmet Mill Team members.

In this role, you will be responsible for sales within the Roll Services and Roll Coverings technology area, including roll maintenance, re-covering solutions, performance upgrades, and lifecycle services for paper and board machines. The exact scope of responsibility will be agreed based on your experience and development interests.

You will be part of the PAC Services / Roll Services organization within the EMEA area. Your home location can be any Valmet key location in Finland.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Identify, contact and develop relationships with customers to build long term business in roll services and roll coverings.

  • Actively pursue sales leads by visiting customers (on-site and remotely) to achieve sales targets.

  • Understand customer processes and needs related to rolls, roll performance, and maintenance, and propose suitable service and covering solutions

  • Define optimal technical and commercial solutions and prepare quotations together with sales support and technical experts

  • Negotiate prices, delivery times, and commercial terms within your mandate and close sales orders to meet revenue targets

Expectations for success in this role:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree, for example in mechanical, paper engineering or other relevant technical field

  • Experience with paper or board making processes, roll maintenance, coatings, or related maintenance roles is a strong advantage

  • Previous experience in service or agreement base business and technical/commercial negotiations is highly valued

  • Understanding of lifecycle services, performance optimization is considered an extra asset

  • Ability and skills work effectively in a matrix organization and to influence on people without having direct line organization

  • High level of initiative, commitment and customer focus

  • Willingness to travel approximate 30% of your working time mainly in Finland

  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and good command of English
