R&D Engineer fixed term (m/f/d)

We, EOS - world market leader for industrial 3D printing, are looking for you to support our Research & Development Team in EOS Finland in Turku with a fixed term contract of 10 months.

Your Mission 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide to solve industrial additive manufacturing challenges. 

• Support the development of new AM materials, metal powders, and process solutions. 

• Develop and optimize laser-based processes for metal materials using modeling, simulation, and experimental testing. 

• Operate EOS 3D-printing systems for prototype and development builds and optimize builds for AM production. 

• Document, analyze and report results to drive process improvements and enable successful customer applications

Your Talents 

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in mechanical, manufacturing, or materials engineering. 

• Experience in industrial development, customer-facing project work is an advantage. 

• Basic knowledge of additive or digital manufacturing and interest in powder-bed technologies. 

• Strong skills in MS Office and CAD (e.g., SolidWorks). Experience with CAM, simulation tools, or programming (e.g. Python) is a plus. 

• Curious R&D mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills. 

• Hands-on with technical equipment and software tools. 

• Solution-oriented team player with ability to manage multiple tasks across functions. 

• Fluent written and spoken English.
