AWS Lead Expert

We are looking for an AWS Lead Expert to join Gofore and support the development of our AWS capabilities.

At Gofore, around 40 cloud professionals already work with public cloud technologies, building genuinely meaningful services that impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in Finland. You can get an glimpse into our project routine from our Cloud Radar 2025 blog story, which highlights the types of projects Gofore cloud experts work on and the technologies used in them.

In this role, you will stay at the forefront of AWS development and support other team members with your technical expertise and insights. You will also contribute to strengthening our cloud story and growing our business by playing an important role in (pre-)sales and recruitment processes. Additionally, you will keep in touch with AWS personnel within different partnership programs and events. You’ll be surrounded by professionals from our core cloud team who will support your success.

What we expect from you

Success in this role requires several years of experience in AWS cloud projects as a seasoned cloud expert or architect.

We expect that your experience has provided you with insights that benefit both internal development initiatives and customer work. Experience in supporting business development and contributing to cloud community growth is considered an advantage, but most important are your eagerness to learn, your desire to grow, and your enthusiasm for helping others succeed.

In addition, we expect

• Willingness to act as a technical leader and thought leader for Gofore’s AWS cloud specialists, sales, other internal stakeholders, and customers.

• Hands-on mindset and a desire to help others succeed.

• Interest in working with pre-sales and supporting sales in business development.

• Readiness to participate in recruitment interviews and contribute significantly to hiring decisions.

• Active communication and collaboration within our AWS partnership programs and events.

• Strong technical background in AWS public cloud services and their use in supporting software development, infrastructure, and automation.

• Understanding of various cloud service models and deployment solutions.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and implementations.

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD technologies.

• Strong communication skills in both Finnish and English.

Salary development

At Gofore, it is important that work is fairly compensated. Salary is influenced not only by experience and skills, but also by two of our core values: contributing actively to making Gofore a great workplace for everyone, and keeping the customer perspective at the heart of everything we do. In salary discussions with your manager, key elements include the feedback you receive, your billing rate (we are consultants, after all!), and your professional development.

Typically, the salary level for this role ranges between 6000-7000 EUR per month. In addition to the fixed salary, we offer bonuses based on the company’s performance and your monthly billing. We will define the appropriate salary level as discussions progress and we learn more about your expertise.
