The core tasks of the team cover a broad area and are built to ensure that our IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient. • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers to support critical business functions
• Provide proactive IT maintenance
• Ensure compliance of IT processes with cybersecurity principles
• Deploy new assets such as computers, network devices and other IT-covered devices
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues for users, and collaborating with external vendors when hardware problems arise
• Assist and guide team members with technical tools and processes that contribute to the overall success and productivity of Visual Components team

We also have an opportunity to learn more about other fields, if you are still not very familiar with them: 

• Maintaining and administrating SQL Servers
• Maintaining our Cloud systems (Azure and AWS)

• Previous experience in IT support and system administration.
• Deep hands-on skills with Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Experience in managing Microsoft 365 services.
• Hands-on experience in IT maintenance.
• Experience with virtualisation software, e.g. VMware.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, for example knowledge of ISO27001 standards, and their implementation.
• Good command of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell, C#) to automate administrative IT tasks.
• Educational background in IT or acquired similar theoretical skills through extensive practical experience.
  

We appreciate if you have some basic skills in the following areas, but you can learn it at work: 

• Administration of SQL servers
• Cloud systems (Azure and AWS)
• Network administration
• Azure DevOps and/or software build chain maintenance

Languages​

• English language – professional proficiency in written and spoken speech is required, because it is our working language.
• Finnish language – very good command in reading and writing is essential to communicate with external providers and read confidential documents without uploading them to the translation software.
