Job Description - Rotating Equipment Engineer

Rejlers is looking for a (Senior) Rotating Equipment Engineer to our team in several locations in Finland, preferably Vantaa, Kotka , or Porvoo . Rejlers has strong design and project expertise in various industrial sectors, such as chemical, paper, pulp, mining, engineering, food, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as energy production. The design of process equipment, factories, and plants, along with product development, are also our strong areas of expertise. This is made possible by our over 100 top professionals in factory design and approximately 90 mechanical and equipment designers. We deliver the best possible design and project expertise to our customers, from preliminary design to detailed design and installation supervision.

The Rotary Equipment competence area works closely with other expertise areas within Rejlers Finland's Industry division (such as environment and safety, process, piping and layout, electrical, automation and instrumentation design, industrial construction, and PMO), considering shared operating models across different sectors both in Finland and in our other country offices.

What kind of person are we looking for?

As an (Senior) Engineer in the Rotary Equipment competence area, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of rotating equipment engineering in customer projects throughout the project lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to installation supervision and commissioning inspection.

You have experience in demanding tasks related to rotating equipment in the process industry, preferably in the chemical/process industry, including equipment design or manufacturing. You are also familiar with the main industry directives (PED) and EN, ASME, and API standards.

Success in this role requires fluency in English, and Finnish speaking skills are seen as an advantage.

We expect you to have:

  • Relevant educational background (Engineer / Master of Science in Engineering)
  • Expertise and experience in designing rotating equipment and managing their delivery in process industry projects
  • Familiarity with the main industry standards and directives
  • Willingness to learn new things and develop yourself
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to interact with customers and travel to customer sites as needed

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Proven track record of successful reference projects
  • Demonstrated business acumen/success
  • Expertise and experience in equipment design for the process industry
  • Wide experience in the process industry
