Senior Battery Systems Engineer

At Eaton, we are committed to Lead, Invest and Execute for Growth.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nSystem engineer in R\u0026D organization for UPS and battery systems. Collaborates with external suppliers and Eaton internal stakeholders to enable world class energy storage devices in Eaton UPS.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Responsible for engineering activities related to using energy storage devices, especially Lithium Ion batteries in products\n * Defines and manages system level requirements and architecture for UPS\u0027s and batteries\n * Specifies the hardware and firmware interfaces required in UPS products for the energy storage interface\n * Collaborates with Eaton internal stakeholders in new product introduction\n * Collaborates with external suppliers of energy storage devices\n * Creates technical tools and documentation for sales teams to select and dimension battery solutions\n * Defines the compliance requirements (safety, EMC, environmental, transportation) for the battery systems\n * Defines the test methods for the batteries and for the converter systems interfacing with the batteries\n * Supports design and application engineering teams in battery related questions\n * Participates in technology development and innovates new ideas\n * Acts ethically and according to Eaton Values and Philosophy following the company rules and policies\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * MSc / BSc in Electrical Engineering\n * Experience with energy storage devices\n * 3+ years of experience in Electrical and/or Electronic industry\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Experience with energy storage devices, especially Lithium Ion batteries, needed.\n * Experience with UPS and/or other power electronic products preferred\n * Experience working in cross-functional development teams, strong communication skills.
