Senior Biomedical Scientist

Huawei Finland RnD Sports Science Lab is seeking Senior Biomedical Scientist to join us. who will be focusing on conducting clinical studies and IHI EU projects with leading medical experts and institutes in Europe. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and building connections with leading medical partners and conducting clinical studies based on Huawei wearable devices and health algorithms.

Main Tasks:

• Find leading experts, and research institutes in cardiovascular health, hypertension, glucose, sleeping, and sports domain, and build good connections with them


• Design study plan with partners based on Huawei’s requirement, and conduct and manage the studies together with partners.


• Find the obtain opportunities to join IHI EU projects, and then manage the projects and deliver outcomes together with partners.

Requirements:

• Master degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medicine on cardiology, neuroscience, endocrine, or other strongly related majors. PhD and MD preferred.


• Solid knowledge and rich experience on cardiovascular health, hypertension, sleep staging, sleep apnea, diabetes, obesity, or other health issues related to wearable devices.


• Experience in clinical studies. Experience of IHI EU projects or other horizon Europe projects preferred.


• Strong team working skills, innovative mindset and a positive attitude. Good networking skills with medical doctors. Experience in related standard or academic committees preferred.


• Good communication skills in written and spoken English.

Contract period and starting date: The position is a full-time/long term contractor position. and the contract will be signed with our supplier. We expect the role to start as soon as possible.

Working place: Finland (onsite at Helsinki) or UK/Germany/Switzerlandf.
