Senior Construction Planner - Client Side - Finland
Location: Finland Sector: Data Centres | Mission Critical Construction Type: Permanent
I'm working exclusively with an internationally recognised data centre developer that is delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale data centre developments.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a client-side construction planning role, taking ownership of programme strategy and construction planning on a flagship development in Finland. You'll be involved from the earliest stages of the project through to commissioning and operational handover, helping shape the successful delivery of a complex, high-value construction project.
If you're looking to move away from a contractor or consultancy and join an organisation where you can influence projects from inception to completion, this is an outstanding opportunity.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Director, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of construction planning across the project lifecycle.
You'll develop, manage and optimise detailed construction programmes, ensuring design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities are fully integrated and aligned with the overall project objectives.
Working closely with internal delivery teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders, you'll provide strategic planning expertise, identify programme risks and ensure construction activities remain on track throughout the build.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud. Produce integrated master programmes covering feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational handover. Develop logical construction sequencing, identifying key interfaces, dependencies, milestones and critical paths. Carry out programme reviews, schedule health checks and critical path analysis. Monitor project progress, forecast programme performance and provide accurate reporting to senior stakeholders. Coordinate construction programmes across multiple disciplines including design, procurement and site delivery teams. Support the planning and procurement of long-lead MEP equipment and specialist packages. Develop commissioning and phased handover programmes to enable early access to completed data halls while construction continues elsewhere. Advise project teams on construction methodologies, sequencing and programme optimisation. Identify programme risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
About You
You'll be an experienced Construction Planner with a proven background delivering major building or infrastructure projects.
You'll ideally have:
A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline. At least 5 years' experience planning large-scale construction projects. Advanced Primavera P6 experience. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement and project delivery. Experience producing integrated construction programmes from pre-construction through to commissioning. BIM scheduling experience. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience delivering data centres, mission critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, manufacturing, energy or other technically complex construction projects would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of Oracle Primavera Cloud would be beneficial but is not essential.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing organisations in the data centre sector, working client-side on landmark projects that are shaping the future of digital infrastructure. You'll benefit from:
Working directly for a leading international data centre developer. Involvement in some of Europe's most significant construction projects. Long-term career progression and international project exposure. A collaborative, high-performing project team. Competitive salary and benefits package. The opportunity to influence projects from concept through to completion. If you're an experienced Construction Planner looking to make the move client-side and work on world-class data centre developments, I'd love to hear from you.
