Job Description - Service Designer

Are you our new Service Designer, ready to shape exceptional customer experiences? We are looking for a Service Designer for a fixed-term position of approximately one year to cover parental leave.

About the Job

As a Service Designer, you will support If’s commercial business area, serving around 340,000 companies across the Nordics—from solo entrepreneurs to large corporations. You will work within an agile tribe focused on designing and delivering attractive insurance buying journeys, primarily for the SME segment.

About the Role

You’ll be part of the Research and Service Design Chapter—your home base within our design line organization. Here, you’ll find your closest manager and a diverse community of designers, including Service, Business, UX, and UI Designers, as well as UX Researchers.

Your daily work takes place in one of our commercial tribes, Entice, where you work as a service designer in Gators squad. As a Service Designer, you will support ongoing initiatives and ensure continuity across projects, with a focus on implementation work together with the squad. You will work within an agile operating model and contribute to service design activities from concept through implementation, building on existing frameworks and tools.

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Support prioritization of work related to the digital quote platform for business customers, in alignment with the Product Owner. 
  • Driving documentation of processes and alignment around implementation and onboarding of the digital quote solution across markets, while also contributing to the continued development and improvement of the digital quote user experience.
  • Contribute in identifying and creating customer journeys and nurturing journeys based on customer behavior, as well as support follow-up and optimization of communication touchpoints.
  • Work in a cross-functional team including UX designers, developers, content managers, CRM experts, and stakeholders. The role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with relevant teams during the assignment.

Who Are You?

You are an experienced service designer with a background in content design, copywriting, or marketing. In addition, you should be a team player with a natural appetite for learning new things and challenging yourself. You have strong collaborative skills and are self-driven, capable of working independently.

We are looking for someone with: 

  • 3+ years of experience in service design or a related field
  • A solid educational background in service design, UX design, or a related subject
  • Proficiency in common service design tools and methods, such as journey mapping, service blueprinting, and mixed-methodology research
  • Skills in conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research
  • Experience working collaboratively with UX designers and content managers
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of agile approaches and techniques (considered a plus)
  • Working proficiency in English and one Nordic language

Additional experience (considered a plus):

  • Experience developing detailed customer journeys that align with Salesforce journey-building
  • Creating and working with customer behavior groups or other value-based segmentation toward content managers and communication experts to enhance Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP)
  • Strong collaboration with UX designers to bridge customer insights into tangible concepts and wireframes
