Specialist, Control Centres and HFE

We are now looking for a SPECIALIST, CONTROL CENTRES AND HFE for a project for our client. Duration of the work is 1.8.2025-31.07.2026.

Location is in Espoo. Hybrid work is possible and occasional travelling to customer sites is needed. 

In this role you will perform control room engineering and human-machine interface (HMI) design assignments in I&C modernization projects and other projects. You work mostly independently but the work is supervised and supported by experienced control room engineering, HMI design and human factors engineering specialists in the team.  

Main tasks include:

• Initial data gathering and analysis, control room and HMI design, testing, and verification and validation activities in projects


• Contact stakeholders, e.g. control room operators, to collect data and evaluate design


• Supporting in I&C engineering tasks may also be included

We expect:

• Lower or upper university degree in I&C engineering or other relevant technical field


• Studies in development of HMIs of I&C systems, human-machine interface design, usability engineering, engineering psychology, human factors, or other similar subjects are a benefit


• Preferably some work experience related to I&C engineering, human-machine interface design, or other relevant engineering 


• Work experience in industrial operations is also a benefit


• IT skills in Excel, Word, Visio and preferably CAD. Programming skills are beneficial.


• Good writing skills - a lot of writing and reporting is needed


• Finnish and English language skills


• Good people skills, interest to work with end-users, and teamwork skills are required


• Ability to lead own work and take initiative


• Accuracy, carefulness, and persistence
