Job Description:

• Our client is seeking an experienced Transition Manager to lead and oversee the IT services transition for a newly acquired company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and seamless transition of IT services to the client's managed services model. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of IT service management.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the IT services transition project.
• Develop detailed transition plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.
• Ensure that all project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including the client, the acquired company’s IT team, and internal teams.
• Facilitate regular status meetings, progress updates, and issue resolution discussions.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment between all parties.

Operational Transition:

• Oversee the transition of IT services, including infrastructure, applications, and support services, to client's managed services model.
• Ensure that all processes and procedures are documented, communicated, and adhered to.
• Coordinate with various teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
• Monitor and report on transition progress, escalating issues as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that the quality of service delivered meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the transition process.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the transition team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT service management, with at least 5 years in a transition or project management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT service transitions.
• Experience with managed services models and IT outsourcing.

Skills:

• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
• Deep understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Fluent Finnish speaker + English
