The Northern Lights Village brand was born in 2016 and since then we have opened three resorts in Finnish Lapland. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and professional Waiters / Waitresses to join our restaurant team. This vital role ensures that our dining experiences continue to meet and exceed guest expectations, providing service that is both attentive and seamless.

About the Role

The Waiter / Waitress position entails delivering exceptional dining service to our guests. You will work closely with our kitchen to ensure that every meal is a memorable part of the Northern Lights Village experience.

You should be able to work quickly, answer customer queries and take and deliver orders. You should possess a polite and charismatic character.
This position requires someone who can manage a high-paced environment with grace, effectively communicate with an international clientele, and contribute positively to our team's dynamic.

Our restaurants serve mainly buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with occasional à la carte-reservations taking place.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm and engaging service to every guest


• Understand and communicate menu items effectively, including any allergen information


• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service


• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area


• Handle payments and perform closing duties

Requirements

• Finnish Alcohol Legislation Proficiency Certificate


• 2 or more years of experience in restaurant service


• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor


• Fluent in spoken and written English


• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment


• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Pay, Duration and Benefits

• Starts: September/October, Ends: March/April


• Minimum 90 working hours per 3 weeks period
  


• Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience


• Other benefits according to the collective labor agreement


• If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €250,00/month

Ensimmäinen Northern Lights Village avattiin vuonna 2016. Levin resort on tarjonnut uniikkeja majoitusvaihtoehtoja revontulikotien muodossa vuodesta 2019. Lisäksi palveluvalikoimaamme kuuluvat ravintola, saunat, safaritalo sekä monipuoliset ohjelmat.

Haemme joukkoomme Leville innostuneita ja ammattitaitoisia tarjoilijoita tulevalle sesongille. Tämä tärkeä rooli varmistaa,että ruokailukokemuksemme vastaavat ja ylittävät vieraidemme odotukset tarjoamalla palvelua, joka on sekä huomaavaista että saumatonta. 

Tehtävästä

Tarjoilijan tehtävään kuuluu tarjota vieraillemme poikkeuksellista ruokailupalvelua. Työskentelet tiiviisti keittiömme kanssa varmistaen, että jokainen ateria on muistettava osa Northern Lights Village -kokemusta..

Tämä tehtävä vaatii henkilöä, joka osaa hallita nopeasti liikkuvaa ympäristöä arvokkuudella, kommunikoida tehokkaasti kansainvälisen asiakaskunnan kanssa ja osallistua positiivisesti tiimimme dynaamisuuteen.

Ravintolassamme tarjoillaan buffet-aamiainen, -lounas ja -illallinen.

Keskeiset vastuut

• Tarjota lämmmintä ja mukaansatempaavaa palvelua jokaiselle vieraalle


• Ylläpitää ruokailualueen puhtautta ja esitystä


• Käsitellä maksut ja suorittaa sulkemistoiminnot

Vaatimukset

• Alkoholipassi


• 2 tai useampi vuoden kokemus ravintola-alalla


• Erinomaiset kommunikaatiotaidot ja ystävällinen käytös


• Sujuva englanti suullisesti ja kirjallisesti


• Kyky työskennellä hyvin paineen alla nopeasti liikkuvassa ympäristössä


• Joustavuus työskennellä vuoroissa, mukaan lukien iltaisin, viikonloppuisin ja pyhäpäivinä

Palkka ja työnkesto

• Työ alkaa lokakuun lopulla ja päätyy huhtikuun alkupuolella


• Vähintään 90 työtuntia 3 viikon jaksolta


• Tuntipalkka neuvotellaan haastattelussa osaamisen ja kokemuksen mukaan


• Tarvittaessa tarjoamme majoituksen jaetussa huoneessa 250€ €/kk:ssa
