Corporate English Teacher

CapsLock is looking for proactive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable native English speakers who have a desire to pursue a career in business-focused education. We are currently looking for English instructors to be a part of our English Coaching team who will be responsible for educating and supporting non-native English-speaking staff in order to help them accomplish learning benchmarks. Your main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment that will help your students meet their learning goals. The teaching methodology should be grounded in an interactive and creative model that builds critical thinking, self-confidence, communication, and teamwork skills. Duties include planning lessons that target specific skills and concepts, personalizing lessons in a way that caters to each student, and filling out monthly progress reports. 

Job Duties

• Planning and preparing lessons, including creating lesson plans, gathering materials, and developing activities to engage students in learning. Need to take into account all students’ learning needs, languages, and cultural backgrounds;
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback;
• Developing approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment, and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment;
• Generating an enthusiasm for the subject being taught and inspiring all students to work to their potential;
• Promoting high standards in the use of English as the common language within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements

• CELTA/TEFL/TOEFL certification
• Excellent spoken and written English (native speaker or fluent with American/Canadian pronunciation)
• Demonstrated drive, self-starter, hard-working, self‐aware
• Passionate about positively affecting, influencing, and motivating others
• 3 to 5 years of prior corporate teaching or training experience is required
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in language teaching methodology
