We are looking for you,

Credit and Trade Finance Specialist

to join our Credit Management team in Espoo, Finland.

The cross-border team is responsible for credit and counterparty risk management for Neste group companies globally. Our role is to support Neste's Business Units and Functions in assessing and mitigating credit and counterparty risk that relates to our customers, suppliers and other partners. More about the job

Your role in our team will be to

  • Manage Neste’s credit limits to customers and other counterparties
    • Process credit limit requests
    • Analyse counterparty financial statements and other data to support decision making
    • Make independent credit decisions and prepare decision proposals for management
    • Monitor and follow up on existing credit limits
    • Solve any credit issues in cooperation with other Neste teams
  • Manage Neste’s guarantees and collaterals, including Letters of Credit, bank guarantees and parent company guarantees
  • Evaluate and develop the related processes, methods, tools and reporting in cooperation with your credit colleagues
  • Liaise with Neste’s Business Units to ensure a forward-looking view from credit perspective
  • Participate in various projects to provide subject matter expertise on credit risk and counterparty financial strength
  • Provide expert support and credit risk related training to internal stakeholders
  • Participate in preparing Neste’s Annual Report

Keys to success in this role

The exact contents of the role will partly depend on the expertise, experience and interests of the selected candidate.

Optimally you would have

  • A Master’s degree in a suitable field, e.g. Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • Experience from similar duties in e.g. a bank or a large corporate, preferably in an international environment
  • A thorough understanding of different forms of credit risk
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills, including the ability to summarise and communicate complex issues quickly, concisely and clearly
  • Ability to remain professional and focused under pressure
  • Courage to challenge opposing views and to suggest new ways of doing things
  • Experience in SAP and Power BI or other reporting tools
  • Demonstrated skills in driving successful teamwork
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and at a minimum professional proficiency in Finnish is an advantage

We also value

  • Experience in Trade Finance, e.g. Letters of Credit
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Skills in data analytics or process development
