We are looking for a 


Data & Analytics Lead, Renewables Platform


to join our Renewables Platform team within the Supply Chain Management function in Espoo, Finland. 

 

This role will drive, lead, manage and coordinate the use of data and introduce new ways of working in the bu’s/functions. And coach the business unit to understand the benefits of data and analytics.

 

Supply Chain Management is a part of Renewables Platform, which also includes other supply chain functions as Feedstock supply, Production, Logistics and Operations. In SCM we are responsible for orchestrating the supply chain planning, market compliance, price forecasting and margin management activities across the Renewables Platform and Renewables Business Units.

We are on a journey to scale Neste Data & Analytics maturity across the organisation to build an executable digitalisation roadmap at Neste, including value models & practical data strategy aligned with business strategy.

 

Renewables Platform builds our competitive edge on data and analytics-driven understanding of markets, suppliers, feedstocks, and competitors, while enabling scaling through digitization. Your role as a member of the Supply Chain Development within the Supply Chain Management is to support the business area management in implementing data related strategic initiatives and projects.

 

You will be responsible for Renewables Platform data & analytics portfolio in order to identify and extract value from data. You’ll work closely with the whole Renewables Platform function and take part in Neste Data & Analytics tactical level with other data and analytics stakeholders.

In your role, you will

 

  • Responsible for data & analytics development portfolio (acting as owner). 
  • Gather the Renewables Platform business vision and translate that into the development portfolio in order to create the Data Strategy.
  • Ensure the existence of Renewables Platform data management processes with the cooperation of the central data management organisation.
  • Track and ensure that our data & analytics solutions are extracting value to business. And also communicate the value of data & analytics to stakeholders.
  • Continuously assess and introduce new analytical methods to be applied within the Renewables Platform organisation for improved insights, efficiency and develop hypotheses and use cases for advanced analytics. 
  • Drive the development of data domains together with the data & analytics tactical level to initiate data quality management actions.
  • Ensure that the roadmap for our data assets and architecture corresponds to the needs of the development roadmap & portfolio.
  • Cooperate with the Neste data & analytics community to develop good practices in all phases of the data & analytics workflow.

 

The best combination to success in this role

 

  • You have multiple years of experience in leading data development team(s) and a thorough understanding of how to support business goals with data and analytics. 
  • You have overall understanding in all of the major topics in data & analytics (data architecture, governance, technology, etc.) and are humble enough to consult others where your skills end. 

 

Cooperation and communication are some of your best characteristics; excellent communication skills will set you up for success as you will be able to develop and communicate the data & analytics portfolio through communication with the key stakeholders. And you understand that cooperation enables you to combine resources and capabilities around the organisation to best aid in the development and execution of the data & analytics portfolio.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute impactful roadmaps and lead seamless execution of it.
