The position is permanent and full-time, and located in Sandvik’s Tampere site which is a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment.

Your role

In this new role of ours, you will be joining our Digital Mining Technologies Division and be part of the team that is marketing the next generation of technology for the mining industry. Our Marketing & Communications team takes the lead in applying a balanced and effective mix of marketing, communication, and brand activities to drive sales, promote our growth strategy and ensure our unique brand position. To grow our reach and create further awareness for our joint product offering and brands, we´re looking for a truly dynamic, creative, and operational Marketing Specialist – someone who knows how to increase audience engagement and generate excellent social media content. This role will be reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager and work closely with Marketing team members from each of the business units.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute marketing campaigns and activities for the integrated digital offering
• Ensure cross-divisional marketing alignment and drive joint initiatives
• Management of internal and external communication, inclusive of Sandvik webpage, social media platforms, newsletters and intranet
• Creation of content visuals and communication packages for both internal and external communication purposes
• Develop and update sales, marketing and promotional material for use in our internal and external marketing platforms including offering videos and joint customer case stories
• Event Management and execution for Sandvik Digital Mining Solutions strategic product offering
• Ownership of Sandvik Digital Solutions showroom, which is regularly used for customer demonstrations
• Work with key internal stakeholders (Globally)
• Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure deliverables are met, on time and on budget

We are looking for a motivated person with a hands-on attitude, creative mindset, and proactive approach. In addition, you enjoy working as a team player in a collaborative and diverse environment.

• Over 6 years’ experience in marketing and communications or business development and education in the same field (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• You are able to travel internationally when required
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Strong communication and storytelling skills; an understanding of your audience and its needs; the ability to think creatively.
• You understand wider business needs and find innovative solutions to complex problems in a fast-changing business environment. Technical background is also considered as an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written). Finnish or Spanish is an advantage.
• Most importantly, we are looking for a motivated person with a hands-on attitude, creative mindset, and proactive approach. In addition, you enjoy working as a team player in a collaborative and diverse environment.
