Senior Graphics Application Developer

Huawei Finland Research Center Graphics and GUI Lab is looking for an experienced application developer with experience in game development or HMI app development including 2D and 3D User Interfaces to join the Huawei Finland Graphics Team as a Senior Graphics Application Developer.

Key responsibilities:

• Be part of software/app projects to support development teams in application development

• Ensure that the software architecture is well-designed in application side, fulfilling all the technical requirements for the application making a perfect match with underlying OS software stack and the SDK

• Implement cutting-edge features into the applications by using the cutting-edge technologies provided by the graphics team

• Implement show-case demos demonstrating stunning 2D/3D UI effects using the Graphics SDK

• Actively participate in application development and keep in touch with project managers and developers in the projects and proactively react to issues and giving advice to application teams to fix the issues

• Work together with the Graphics team to help them understand the underlying problems in application teams and act as a bridge between the SDK and app teams to make daily work and operations as efficient as possible

• Participate in the application side optimizations work and be aware of performance, power consumption, memory usage and rendering quality issues and communicate them to Graphics SDK team if needed

Requirements:

• BSc, MSc in field of computer science or related

• Experience in modern C++ is a must.

• Understanding graphics principles, working with Unity, Godot, Unreal or other engines in game development or similar

• Knowledge of scripting languages, eg. Javascript or Typescript

• Some knowledge of UI frameworks, eg. Qt, Flutter, React Native, Swift or similar

• Knowledge of mobile development environment, eg. Android, iOS

• Good spoken and written English

• Open-minded and active learning attitude
