Helmee Imaging Ltd, with its unique patented CSD technology, is a global leader in inspecting challenging, shiny, mirror-like curved surfaces of parts in mass manufacturing – we work in automotive industry and with cell phones just to mention some. We are the first company ever capable of inspecting 3D high gloss surfaces with high speed and accuracy. Helmee Imaging Ltd. was founded in 2013 and has kept on moving and growing since then. We are serving customers internationally from our HQ Tampere Finland and have daughter companies in China and USA. We have local personnel in Germany and France as well. Now we are looking for a skilled and highly motivated SW Developers to support our growth.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced developer looking for new challenges. You will be essential part of Helmee R&D Team strengthening the SW Development globally.

Our SW solutions are the cornerstones in our success. You will be part of the team developing our core competence. You’ll be working together with your colleagues on developing modern solutions related to our offering, such as the AI/ML based system configuration, cloud services, image processing and analysis etc. These are used widely by our customers globally every day.

As a Software Developer your daily tasks contain of development, designing, testing and documentation. Our product development is agile. We are using tensor flow as basis for our AI/ML and C++ applications. You have history with Linux environment and making GPU calculations. Azure cloud environment skills are beneficial. You report to Vice President, Technology and operations. We don’t just focus on developing solutions, we are curious about developing ourselves, both as professionals and as a people.

Your responsibilities:

• Backlog refinement with the team, turning requirements into technical tasks
• Backend design, interfaces, integration towards different systems, database design
• Testing of development work
• Making code and review for other developers’ code (incl. external developers’ code) in C++, C#, Python and other tools in use
• Documentation (technical documentation, business level documentation)
• Technical support towards customer interface
• Development work for backend/frontend against customer facing solutions

We are looking for a candidate:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Software Developer
• A relevant education (e.g. Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar) or equivalent work experience
• Fluent in English is must have (verbal and written, Finnish skills are seen as an advantage)
• Bold, dare to make mistakes, learn from those, and rise to the next level
• Positive and open-minded, curious
• A team player with good communication skills
• Understands the power of working together and wants to understand customers’ needs and deliver value

Specific SW skills seen as beneficial:

• WPF and ASP.NET
• Visual Studio
• Database skills, e.g.: NoSQL databases (CouchDB), relational databases (SQL server), MySQL, Oracle
• Knowledge of version control and build automation
• Linux
• REST APIs
• cloud services (Azure)
