Join Our Team in Europe as a Compensation & Benefits Team Manager!

Are you a strategic thinker and a practical doer with passion for optimizing employee rewards? We are looking for a value driven and innovative Compensation and Benefits Team Manager to join our HR team. In this role, you will lead efforts to develop and implement competitive compensation packages, ensuring our employees are recognized and valued for their contributions. By applying sound leadership, you will be responsible for teams of operational compensation and benefits and payroll. If you have a knack for balancing financial acumen with a people-first approach, and you are interested in improvements and curious to explore new initiatives we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for executing regional compensation and benefits processes including annual salary review and bonus programs
  • Develop and deliver training for line managers and HR functions together with the team, enhancing process quality and consistency
  • Lead and develop the Operational C&B team ensuring they have the right knowledge and skills to optimize and harmonize the processes, to drive them through to completion, and to advise managers effectively
  • Provide guidance on topics like promotions, job grading, job descriptions and benchmarking in line with global policies and local labor agreements
  • Follow market trends, gather data, and identify improvement opportunities in alignment with business objectives
  • Maintain and develop job architecture and position grading consistency across the region
  • Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion through compensation and benefits processes and management of the team
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to harmonize payroll, time, and benefits management across Europe, and to build a strong team spirit by ensuring seamless cooperation between compensation and benefits and payroll functions
  • Ensure systems, tools, and processes are adapted to achieve desired outcome
  • Actively review and analyze data to identify process improvements and gaps in compensation and benefit plans.

Profile

  • Higher-level degree with expertise in compensation and benefits processes and with strong market knowledge
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR leadership experience in an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and HR compliance
  • Experience with data analytics and relevant tools and systems
  • Self-starter with strong resilience
  • Excellent feedback and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to managers, employees and team members at all levels
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship building skills with experience working in a matrix organization, experience working with unions and works councils is an advantage
  • Understanding of complex payroll environments across multiple countries   
  • Ability to pay attention to details yet see the big picture
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written

Additional Information

This position reports to Director Regional Operations

Location:  Oslo, Brussels and Vilnius preferred, but additional locations can be considered in other countries in Europe were there is a Yara office.
