Content Security Lab in Helsinki Research Center’s mission to advancing technology to protect the online safety of Huawei mobile users. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Scholars and Interns with a solid track record of solving challenging problems, advancing state-of-the-art, and demonstrated passion for ground-breaking research that could be scaled to production environment with an emphasis on the intersection of AI and Security.

We are now offering paid Visiting Scholars and Internship positions to talented researchers interested in working on the following topics:

1.   Robust Implicit Hate Speech Detection
2.   Malicious Intent Detection on Prompt Query
3.   Digital Forgetting/Machine Unlearning for Privacy and Copyright Protection
4.   Towards Human Reasoning
5.   Trusted Inference & QA
6.   Multimodal Knowledge Representation for Common Sense and Event Reasoning
7.   LLM Jailbreaking attack and defense
8.   LLM Steering towards desired outputs and avoid unintended consequences.
9.   Robust Deepfakes and Scam Detection
10. Agentic AI and Safety

Please state the topic that you are interested in working on.

Qualifications:

• Assistant Professor, Postdoc, recent PhD graduate, and PhD student in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong research experience in one or more of the listed topics.
• Excellent programming skills, particularly in Python.
• A passion for AI research and a commitment to ethical and Safe AI development.

• Experience with security-related research or projects is preferred.
• Strong publication record in top conferences i.e., NeurIPS/AAAI/ACL/ CVPR/ICCV/ EMNLP/ NAACL, etc.
• Good teamwork, enjoy working with multi-cultural team, passionate about challenging the status quo.
