Are you excited about cybersecurity and curious about how future‑proof cryptography can be implemented on highly resource‑constrained devices? We are now looking for a Master’s Thesis Student to research Post‑Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in ARM‑based embedded environments.
This thesis position offers you a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of embedded engineering and cybersecurity, contributing to future solutions that keep our products secure in a quantum‑ready world.
What you’ll do
As a Master’s Thesis Student, you will focus on researching and evaluating Post‑Quantum Cryptography for ARM‑based embedded environments with strict memory and performance limitations. Your work will include:
Evaluating PQC algorithms and libraries for ARM‑based embedded systems
Assessing algorithm suitability for resource‑constrained devices
Developing prototypes and running performance benchmarks
Collaborating with embedded systems and cybersecurity experts
Documenting findings and presenting results internally
What you’ll bring
Strong interest in cybersecurity and post‑quantum cryptography
Solid programming skills (C/C++; Python is a plus)
Understanding of ARM‑based embedded systems and their limitations
Ability to analyze and optimize algorithms for constrained environments
Excellent problem‑solving and documentation skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Curiosity for emerging technologies and ability to apply them in practice.
Desired skills and key words:
Experience with ARM architecture and embedded development
Familiarity with cryptographic libraries and security solutions, especially PQC
Knowledge of embedded debugging tools and techniques.
