Duration: Six-month Fixed Contract

Hours: 3 days/week

Location: Mikonkatu 1, Helsinki

Pay: €1800/month

Hey there 👋

Are you studying finance or accounting and looking for hands-on experience in the world of venture capital? We’re OpenOcean, a Helsinki-based VC-firm, and we’re looking for a curious, detail-loving, spreadsheet-wielding intern to join our Finance & Fund Management team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll be right at the heart of our day-to-day operations, helping us make things run smoothly behind the scenes. Your tasks will grow as you grow into the role.

Some of the things you’ll do:

• Handle everyday finance stuff (think: expenses, records, keeping things tidy).
• Help with quarterly investor reports and compliance bits.
• Keep tabs on how our portfolio companies are doing (financials, cap tables, docs).
• Update investor data and pitch in with KYC and documentation.

Who We Think You Are:

• You are studying at least your third year in finance, accounting, or something similar.
• Maybe you’ve worked at  a VC-fund before (bonus points!).
• You’re solid with Excel and fluent in both Finnish and English (Swedish is a plus).
• You pay attention to the small stuff, and you’re happy working independently.
• You’re eager to learn and don’t mind a bit of routine admin—it’s part of the deal.
