Summer Trainee, Science - Research Operations

We are looking for a Summer Trainee to join our Research Operations team in Oulu. This team leads a variety of research studies, both internal and external, to develop new features and continue to enhance the accuracy of our algorithms. Our partnerships often lead to scientific publications and provide public validation of Oura’s health sensing capabilities. You will support our team with ongoing internal human research studies. 

Our summer trainee period is planned to be 3-4 months, timing can be agreed between 05/2026- 09/2026. This is a mostly onsite role based in Oulu, which will involve commuting into our office multiple times per week.  

We would love to have you in our team if You have

• Studies from human research (e.g., biology, psychology, cognitive science, biomedical engineering) and in your mid or final stages (4th+ year /  250 ECTS).


• Familiarity with research ethics and good clinical practice


• Strong attention to detail and confidence managing timelines and documentation


• Good communication skills (in English)


• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situation


• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team environment


• Nice to have: experience with biosignals  (PPG, spectroscopy)
