Accounts Payable - Remote Work

Job Description:

Varjo, a cutting-edge technology company based in Turku, Finland, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our team in a part-time remote work position. As an Associate Level Accounts Payable professional with at least 4 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial transactions and ensuring timely payments to our vendors.

Responsibilities: - Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently - Verify and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and receipts - Prepare and process payments for approval - Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments - Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions - Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting - Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure compliance with internal controls - Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred - At least 4 years of experience in accounts payable or related field - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Adaptable and able to work independently in a remote work environment - Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently - Experience with strategic planning and research is a plus
