Communications Specialist - Remote Work

Marimekko is seeking a talented and passionate Communications Specialist to join our team on a part-time remote basis. As a globally recognized design and lifestyle brand, Marimekko is known for its unique prints and vibrant colors that inspire joy and creativity.

Responsibilities: - Develop and execute strategic communication plans that align with Marimekko's brand identity and values - Manage all aspects of social media channels, including creating engaging content and monitoring analytics - Write and edit internal and external communications, such as press releases, blog posts, and newsletters - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms - Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for brand growth - Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests - Plan and execute events, both virtual and in-person, to promote Marimekko's products and initiatives

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members remotely - Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms - A keen eye for design and aesthetics - Experience with content creation and editing - Research skills to stay up-to-date on industry trends - Leadership abilities to inspire and motivate colleagues
