As part of Questel’s Group Legal Department and within the “Business contracts” Unit, your responsibilities will include:
Contract drafting, review and negotiation: support the drafting, review, adaptation and negotiation of client, supplier and service-provider contracts related to IP services.
Process improvement and documentation management: assist in the implementation of internal legal processes (e.g., digitalization of contracts, updates to contract workflows). Ensure proper filing, maintenance, and organization of the contract database and legal documentation in compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Legal research and analysis support: conduct preliminary legal research on applicable laws and regulations, identify risks and key considerations, and support the preparation of internal guidance notes or reports on legal topics relevant to business activities.
Liaison and coordination: collaborate with internal stakeholders, including commercial, operational, and local legal teams worldwide, to collect information, support contract execution processes, and ensure smooth communication with external partners when needed.
Regulatory monitoring: contribute to monitoring legal developments, professional standards, and regulatory changes that may impact the business, and assist in preparing summaries and impact assessments for the legal team.

Master’s degree in Law (preferably in commercial/business law, contract law, or intellectual property law).
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a contracts counsel, business legal counsel or legal counsel within a legal department, IP law firm or service-oriented legal environment.
Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably involving intellectual property services.
Previous experience in a multinational company and/or international service-oriented environment is a strong advantage.
Good understanding of contract law, intellectual property law and interest in IT-related legal topics.
Hard Skills
Fluency in English and French (oral, written); proficiency in other languages is a plus. Holding an IELTS or TOEFL certification is a strong advantage.
Ability to prepare, review, and organize legal documents and contracts under supervision.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills with attention to detail.
Excellent document management and reporting abilities.
Good understanding of contract lifecycle processes and legal documentation workflows.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
