About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Data Onboarding Specialist to join our team and play a key role in helping new customers set up and migrate their data into Bonsai. This role is less about advanced analytics and coding, and more about ensuring customer data is clean, structured, and seamlessly integrated (primarily using Excel and Google Sheets).

You’ll work directly with customer success, operations, and product teams to make onboarding as smooth and efficient as possible. If you love working with spreadsheets, have an eye for detail, and enjoy finding creative ways to manipulate data, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and support customer data migrations during onboarding

• Clean, format, and transform datasets (99% in Excel/Google Sheets) to ensure accuracy and usability

• Use formulas, macros, AI tools, and VBA scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure consistency

• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, errors, or gaps with precision

• Work closely with onboarding and customer success teams to ensure a smooth handoff and strong customer experience

• Provide creative solutions for data-related challenges, often finding ways to make complex migrations simple

• Document and improve internal data processes to increase efficiency over time

• Support ongoing operational data needs as Bonsai scales

What We’re Looking For

• Advanced experience with Excel and Google Sheets

• Strong attention to detail—accuracy and quality of data is very important for this role

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently, stay highly organized, and juggle multiple onboarding projects

• Previous experience in SaaS onboarding or operations
