Based: La Défense

Status: Cadre

Reporting to: OOH RTM Distributor Lead

Role Purpose

The Distributor & Channel Development Manager is responsible for accelerating Ice Cream sales across French Overseas Territories (DOM) and Ethnic & Traders channels. The role combines commercial leadership, distributor management, hunting for new business opportunities, and close collaboration with cross business functional teams to deliver growth, visibility, and portfolio.

Our current TMICC France business is composed by:

  •  5M€ of TO FY (2025) with French Territories (5 distributors)
  • 0,8M€ of TO / 600 Kl done through Traders (5 Customers)

Key Responsibilities

1. Distributor Management – French Overseas Territories

(Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Guyane)

  • Lead and manage existing distributors across the four French Overseas Territories, ensuring delivery of annual volume, turnover, and profitability targets.
  • Conduct pricing negotiations and oversee annual commercial agreements in line with BU strategy.
  • Develop and deploy brand activation plans in stores (modern and traditional trade) to maximize visibility, penetration, and conversion.
  • Implement visibility & merchandising programs (POS, freezers, activation assets) that strengthen brand equity and drive sellout.
  • Regularly review performance, forecast accuracy, service levels, and execution quality with each distributor.
  • Travel periodically to territories to strengthen relationships, support key accounts, and monitor execution ontheground.

2. Ethnic Channel Development & Occasions Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new distributor opportunities within the Ethnic channel (African, Caribbean, Asian, Latin American stores and wholesalers).
  • “Hunt” and onboard new partners to expand distribution, reach, and availability of Ice Cream products.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service & Planning (CSP) teams to ensure efficient supply, order management, and forecasting for new and existing distributors.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to tailor the relevant portfolio, seasonality selections, and occasionbased activations that resonate with ethnic consumers.
  • Develop business cases for channel expansion initiatives and lead pilot launches.
  • Track performance KPIs per distributor and adjust plans to maximize ROI and sustainable channel growth.

3. Traders Channel Responsibility

  • Own the Traders channel (exporters, wholesalers, opportunistic buyers) and manage all related sales activities.
  • Lead the sale of OOH, IH, and obsolete stocks through approved Traders, ensuring compliance, margin protection, and stock rotation.
  • Expand the Traders customer base by identifying and qualifying new buyers while maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.
  • Work with Finance and Supply Chain to validate pricing, documentation, and compliance requirements for trader sales.
  • Monitor stock levels, demand patterns, and opportunities to reduce writeoffs through responsible liquidation strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–6+ years of experience in Sales, Distributor Management, Key Account Management, or Channel Development within FMCG.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven experience in commercial discussions, pricing, and trade terms.
  • Experience working with distributors, traders, or international/overseas markets is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, CSP, and Finance.
  • Analytical mindset with strong planning and forecasting capabilities.
  • Fluency in French; English is a plus.
