Full-time | unlimited

Ready to make a real impact in the financial industry? At Deutsche Börse Group, we'll empower you to grow your career in a supportive and inclusive environment. With our unique business model, driven by 15,000 colleagues around the globe, we actively shape the future of financial markets. Join our One Global Team!

This position can be filled in one of the EEX locations: Paris, Leipzig, Berlin or London

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Trading API Product Development Analyst to contribute to the development and enhancement of our API trading products and services for the Gas Spot Exchange. This role combines technical expertise, market knowledge, and analytical skills to drive innovation, ensure API functionality, and support seamless trading and post-trading experiences for our clients.

As a key member of the product team, you will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and external customers to gather requirements, define product features, and ensure the effective delivery of API trading solutions. An understanding of the commercial, legal, and regulatory implications of API functionality and trading products is essential to ensure compliance and alignment with market expectations.

Key responsibilities include defining and prioritizing API features, developing product specifications, and ensuring APIs support high performance and scalability. The analyst will also support the testing efforts for the API functionality by providing clear acceptance criteria and KPI definitions and monitor performance of the new features post-deployment.

Additionally, the analyst will participate in the development of the supporting documentation, ensure technical and commercial consistency of our offering, deliver updates and presentations, stay informed about market developments, conduct competitor analysis, and collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote API features and attract new users.

In doing so, you will become a valued partner for different stakeholders inside EEX Group as well as for external parties, receiving a great deal from your team in return for your outstanding performance. After all, we value the exchange of ideas, working together, and encouraging each other to become better. We call it: the exchange mindset.

You bring along:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics.

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, including direct interaction with exchange trading participants and a deep understanding of the trading systems functionality.

  • Practical experience with order management and market data protocols (e.g. FIX, FAST, OUCH, ITCH, T7 ETI); familiarity with commodities and energy markets is a plus.

  • Understanding of underlying network technologies such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, MQ, WebSocket, Protobuf, JSON, XML, and TLS/SSL is highly advantageous

  • Deep understanding of algorithmic and high-frequency trading needs and implications for the trading API.

  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards related to trading systems.

  • Ability to work in a team and independently, ability to take responsibility, strong communication skills, and a can-do attitude.

  • Experience in project management or leading cross-functional teams is a plus.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.

  • High proficiency in English.

What we can offer you:

  • Attractive salary package with many benefits including meal allowance, pension contribution, sports, and recreational events

  • Personal development thanks to extensive training and learning opportunities

  • Flexible working time arrangements

  • A place in a dynamic and international team within EEX Group and Deutsche Börse Group

  • A long-term perspective in the constantly growing and evolving energy industry
