Services, Ltd. is hiring a permanent, full-time fitter to join our team in
Pinson/Birmingham, AL.

At Fives, we all have a part
to play in achieving our common mission. Your role will be:

* Verifies conformance of
work piece to specifications, using squares, levels, measuring tape
and other measuring devices
* Assemble parts via tack
welding or bolting
* Add bracing for welding
as necessary
* Put all layout lines on
and have them inspected. All center lines on round pipes and
cylinders will be center punched before any fitting begins
* Check all dimensions on
parts and remove all slag, dirt, rust, and oil from the metals before
fitting
* Fit up will not have
more than 1/32" gap and/or more than 1/16" out of tolerance without
supervisor approval
* Put all weld symbols on
the assembly and lay out all skip welds while only tacking in the
weld zones

* Proven experience as a
structural plate fitter: 5+ years of related experience and training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Previous experience in
heavy manufacturing
* A one-year certificate
from college or technical school is preferred
* High School Diploma /
GED
* Ability to read
blueprints
* Perform the following
math as needed: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and
trigonometry for whole numbers and fractions
