Own your market and create your own success

Every territory is different. Some roles are founding positions, with the chance to establish Montel’s commercial presence in an emerging market. Others give you an existing customer base and a clear opportunities to grow new and existing accounts.

Across all seven roles, the mission is the same: understand your market, build trusted relationships and turn commercial potential into sustainable revenue.

You will:

• Develop and execute a commercial plan for your territory.

• Create pipeline through targeted outbound activity while converting relevant inbound demand.

• Lead discovery conversations with analytical and technically informed buyers.

• Position Montel’s value, deliver credible product demonstrations and manage negotiations.

• Run the full sales cycle from first conversation to close and customer handover.

• Keep a clear view of pipeline, activity and forecasts through disciplined CRM use.

• Represent Montel at customer meetings, conferences and energy-industry events.

Sell intelligence that matters

You’ll work with traders, analysts, utilities, producers, portfolio managers and other senior energy professionals. These are informed buyers who expect relevant questions, commercial insight and a consultative approach.

You’ll be representing more than a market-leading product portfolio. You’ll be part of a company with a growing voice in Europe’s energy sector – combining trusted journalism, market analysis, podcasts, reports and expert insight that are shaping industry conversations. Working alongside journalists, analysts and market experts, you’ll sell solutions backed by genuine expertise, credibility and trusted relationships – not just marketing claims.

Previous experience in energy or commodities can be valuable, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is your ability to learn a complex market, understand how customers make decisions and translate sophisticated solutions into meaningful commercial value.

You will likely bring:

– Around three to seven years of relevant B2B sales experience.
– Experience owning a full sales cycle, ideally in SaaS, data, analytics or another complex solution.
– Evidence that you can build pipeline rather than rely entirely on inbound demand.
– Strong discovery, value articulation, objection handling, negotiation and closing skills.
– Curiosity, resilience and the ability to work with autonomy.
– Good CRM and forecasting discipline.
– Fluent English and the relevant language skills for your market.
– A willingness to meet customers and represent Montel at industry events.

Nous venons d'être rachetés par un fonds d'investissement pour accélérer notre croissance à l'échelle européenne; une nouvelle phase passionnante pour l'entreprise, avec des moyens renforcés pour investir sur nos marchés clés, dont la France.

La France est l'un de nos marchés les plus prometteurs :

• Présents depuis 2018, nous sommes déjà l'un des leaders reconnus sur le marché français

• Plus de 120 clients actifs en France, parmi lesquels de grands noms de l'énergie (type EDF, ENGIE)

• Une équipe de 8 personnes déjà en place à Paris (journalistes, analystes, 1 SDR)

• Un flux constant de leads inbound grâce à nos séminaires, webinars et événements — ce n'est pas de la prospection à froid, ce sont des prospects déjà intéressés

• Un fort potentiel encore inexploité sur un marché mature mais loin d'être saturé

Nous cherchons aujourd'hui la personne qui va incarner notre développement commercial en France : une figure senior, basée à Paris, qui connaît le marché local, sait aller à la rencontre des clients sur le terrain, et a l'ambition de construire quelque chose de grand.

Le poste

En tant que Founding Account Executive – France, vous serez la personne commerciale senior de référence sur le marché français, rattaché(e) à une organisation basée à Oslo qui se déplace régulièrement en France. Vous aurez une réelle autonomie pour développer le portefeuille existant et conquérir de nouveaux clients.

Vos missions

• Développer et faire grandir le chiffre d'affaires en France, sur un mix équilibré : environ 40% de cross-sell / upsell sur la base clients existante et 60% de nouveaux business

• Gérer un cycle de vente complet, de la qualification à la signature, avec des cycles allant de 2 semaines à 2-3 mois selon la complexité et la taille du client

• Vendre des solutions complexes (données de marché, analytics, outils de gestion des risques) à des interlocuteurs exigeants : traders, analystes, portfolio managers, direction achats énergie

• Traiter et transformer les leads générés par notre SDR et par nos actions inbound (webinars, séminaires, événements)

• Rencontrer les clients et prospects sur le terrain, être visible et actif sur l'écosystème énergie français

• Représenter l'entreprise lors d'événements et de conférences sectorielles en France

• Construire une vraie relation de confiance avec les clients, sur des deals allant de quelques centaines d'euros par mois à plus de 100 000 € ARR, avec un ticket moyen autour de 15 000 € ARR

• Contribuer à structurer et faire évoluer notre approche commerciale en France, en tant que personne senior sur le marché

Objectif de la mission

Un objectif de développement de chiffre d'affaires ambitieux, de l'ordre de 300 000 € à 500 000 € d'ARR par an, à affiner selon votre profil et votre expérience.

Profil recherché

• 3 à 7 ans d'expérience en vente B2B, avec un vrai track record de closing

• Une bonne connaissance des environnements Tech / SaaS — l'expérience dans le secteur de l'énergie est un vrai plus (réseau, compréhension du marché) mais n'est absolument pas un prérequis

• Profils bienvenus : SaaS, Tech, data & analytics, plateformes, trading — nous restons ouverts, à l'exception des profils marketing ou RH

• À l'aise avec la vente complexe et consultative, sur des cycles de vente moyens à longs

• Rigoureux(se), organisé(e), structuré(e) : une bonne hygiène commerciale et un vrai souci du détail

• Curieux(se) intellectuellement, envie d'apprendre vite sur un secteur technique et passionnant

• Un tempérament de "go-getter" : pas timide, orienté(e) résultats, capable de relancer et de closer

• Une personne de confiance, autonome, capable d'être notre relais local et de représenter l'entreprise sur le marché français

Pas besoin d'être un profil hyper-senior : nous cherchons quelqu'un qui a l'envie et la capacité d'évoluer avec nous, dans un environnement où les choses changent vite.

Conditions

• Poste basé à Paris (8ème), en mode hybride — 1 à 2 jours par semaine au bureau, flexibilité assumée

• Déplacements réguliers pour des événements, séminaires et rencontres clients en France
