The Surface Technologies global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, is a leading supplier of applied surface technologies for metal, plastic and glass substrates. These specialty chemicals are used in many industries and markets, such as automotive, aerospace, aluminum finishing, coil or in the metalworking industry - supported by a large network of technical experts.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In your role as Global Key Account Manager Stellantis & Renault and Head of Automotive OEM France (m/f/d) you will be responsible for: 


 



  • Central point of contact for the two customers Renault and Stellantis in the Automotive OEM segment

  • Develop and cultivate business relationships with key stakeholders, both locally and globally

  • Negotiation of global / regional RFQs and drive pricing excellence globally

  • Steering of customer-specific business performance and technical approvals and guiding local Auto OEM sales teams regarding Renault & Stellantis

  • Define Stellantis and Renault GKAM plan and implement strategic projects accordingly.

  • Analysis of customer requirements, market trends and introduction of new technologies in coordination with local sales, product management and R&D

  • Operational Lead of the Auto OEM Team in France 

WHAT YOU OFFER

 



  • Completed studies in the field of chemistry, process engineering or business administration

  • 5 to 7 years minimum experience as Key Account Manager or comparable roles

  • Strong technical, analytical, and financial skills to support business and new product/application development projects

  • Well developed customer relationship building and above average people skills, skills to prioritize, prepare, and close projects resulting in business success

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, excellent organizational and people skills, flexibility to travel as needed, up to 40% of the time

  • Knowledge of the Automotive or Coatings industry, aptitude for material and chemical science

  • Outstanding verbal and written presentation skills in English and French
