Head of Country and Plant HR, France

Are you a seasoned HR leader ready to drive the HR agenda in France for a global company with manufacturing and sales operations? Then join us as our new Head of Country and Plant HR, France, where you will hold a dual HR leadership role. First, you will be responsible for leading the HR function across France, partnering with our Country Director as well as with leaders from all divisions and group functions operating in the country. Second, you will serve as the HR leader for our manufacturing plant, acting as a trusted partner to the Plant Leadership Team and driving people and organisational priorities.

What you will be doing

Your main responsibilities as Country HR include:

• Ensure compliance to labor laws in the country and to any local employment laws. Act as company representative in resolving any complains and potential compliance issues.


• Establish local HR policies and guidelines when needed, in respect to local legislation as well as in full alignment with Grundfos Global HR policies. Support and deploy global HR systems and processes in the country.


• Support the Country Director in representing the company in interactions with workers council, unions and when preparing and negotiating local collective agreements.


• Support and advice global leaders, HRBPs and HR services centers.

Your main responsibilities as Plant HR:

• Support and act as HR partner to the Plant Leadership and APU leaders.


• Deploy the “People” pillar of Grundfos Production System and the associated performance indicators in the Plant.


• Drive the annual HR processes: Merit reviews, Performance and Development Dialogues, Talent and Succession, Employee Engagement Surveys, etc.


• Support Plant leaders in the daily work force management (forecast, skills development, availability and flexibility ratios..etc.)

Above all, you are a resilient and strategically minded HR leader with deep expertise in French labor relations, proven change leadership capabilities, and the ability to maintain composure and sound judgment in high-pressure, sensitive situations. 

• Master's degree or equivalent with 7-10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience


• Proven track record leading complex labor relations negotiations and managing relationships with Works Councils, unions, and labor authorities in France.


• Ability to balance business objectives with legal compliance, employee considerations, and stakeholder expectations.


• Solid experience with HR in a manufacturing environment.


• Experienced in navigating a local focus in a global matrix organisation with various stakeholders.


• Strong change leadership skills with demonstrated ability to maintain employee engagement and business continuity during organizational transformation


• Fluency in both French and English

It is a plus if you also have:

• Experience deploying global HR initiatives and collaborating with Centers of Excellence in a matrixed organization


• Background partnering with external legal counsel on labor and employment matters
