Installation Engineer

Perform independently installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations), from the integration to the inspection of the tools including troubleshooting in case of issues. Follow all checklists and procedures and ensure correct procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work. Test equipment with assistance from senior engineers, existing documentation and diagnostic techniques. Respond to factory issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls. Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs. Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked and non-conformances. Bachelor or Master degree with technical background (mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar...) Position open to junior profiles. Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical issues during system installation. Ability to communicate daily pass-downs and equipment status reports. Project management skills to control installation project within budget, timeline and installation quality requirements. Ability to work autonomously. Good English communication skills both written and verbal. Good Knowledge of the MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint) The position requires extensive travelling throughout Europe (75% of the time, depending on overall activity requirements) This position often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors and working with electricity, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position generally involves working in a clean room, it requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
