Outsight’s software solutions track the motion of people and vehicles using 3D LiDAR data. Operators of transportation hubs like airports and train stations but also sport venues, road infrastructures and industrial sites can now access accurate and anonymous Spatial Intelligence data, in order to improve operations and increase user safety and satisfaction.
Our international team of scientists and engineers drive the development of our solutions from Paris, San Francisco, Sophia-Antipolis (Nice) & Hong Kong. To support our global outreach, we also operate a commercial office in Spain. You can find below an interesting link about who we are and what we do:Insights about
OutsightOur Passenger Flow Traffic Monitoring solution is trusted by the world’s leading airports and train stations across 4 continents. Additionally, our Car Traffic Remote Monitoring product is trusted by several Tier 1 customers, including BMW.
Context
We're looking for a Manager of Engineering Ops and Analytics to lead a transformative chapter in our organisation. This is a leadership role that sits at the intersection of DevOps, Data & BI, and Cloud Financial Management — reporting directly to the VP Engineering.
Responsibilities
You will own three strategic pillars:
DevOps Transformation — Supervise and guide our DevOps function through a transition toward a cloud-first, managed-services architecture, improving reliability, scalability, and developer velocity around infra-as-code strategies.
Data & Analytics Foundation — Build from the ground up a data warehouse and Business Intelligence ecosystem to deliver product analytics, engineering performance metrics, and adoption insights that drive decision-making across our department and the company.
FinOps Practice — Design and implement a FinOps strategy to bring visibility, accountability, and optimisation to our cloud spend.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in high-impact, cross-functional environments and wants to shape how a growing tech company operates and scales.
Looking back on your first 12 months
By the end of your first year, you will have:
Took over the automated provisioning strategy and infra-as-code implementation for our cloud-first transition.
Stood up a production-grade data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) integrated with a BI layer (e.g., Looker, Power BI); delivered initial dashboards for product usage, engineering velocity, and adoption KPIs.
Implemented cloud cost visibility across teams; introduced tagging standards, budgeting processes, and first optimisation initiatives with measurable savings.Built or reorganised a small, high-performing team; established rituals, documentation
Requirements for the roles
Leadership & Strategy
Proven experience leading or part of DevOps / Platform / SRE teams through significant infrastructure evolutions.
Track record of building or scaling a data warehouse and BI function — from architecture decisions to stakeholder adoption.
Ability to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and communicate effectively with both engineering and executive audiences.
Technical Expertise
Deep familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and managed services (Kubernetes, serverless, PaaS offerings).
Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals: ETL/ELT pipelines, dimensional modelling, modern data stack tooling (Python, DBT, orchestration tools).
Working knowledge of FinOps principles: cost allocation, showback/chargeback, reserved instances, rightsizing, and continuous optimisation.
Mindset
Pragmatic problem-solver comfortable operating in ambiguity.
Strong ownership mentality — you see gaps and fill them.
Collaborative leader who elevates others and builds trust across departments.
Nice to have (but not required):
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code at scale (Terraform and cloud managed services like Terraform Cloud, ScalR.io; Pulumi, CloudFormation).
Hands-on background with observability stacks (Datadog, Honeycomb, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel) and how they complement a BI layer.
Prior exposure to FinOps tooling (CloudHealth, Apptio, nOps, native cloud cost explorers).
Experience in a B2B SaaS or product-led growth environment.
