The Mechanical Plant Design team (TPM) is part of engineering at HVDC, with the mechanical responsibilities for our HVDC Projects on a global scale. Our responsibilitystretchesfromthe start-up of theproject, tobe on siteforinstallation. We are supporting our internal and externalpartnerswiththemechanicalknowledgebothwithintheproject and outside of projects!

You are welcome to join our energetic team with mix of experienced and young engineers and colleagues from diverse nationalities around the world. We work closely with design teams and collaborate with engineering and research teamsin a global environment.

Yourresponsibilities

Demonstratingknowledge in advancedhigh-end CAD software(s) toensure CAD activities, 3D-modelling in parts and assembly’s in differentlevels, 2D-drafting fordrawings and layouts are delivered on time and meetquality standard.

Beingfamiliarwiththedesignprinciples, guidelines and applicablestandardsusedwithinelectromechanicalplantdesign of HVDC stations, bothonshore and offshore.

Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedurestoperformStationlayoutdesign, buildingrequirementsinputstocivildesigner, installationdrawings and detail design of steel support, connectors, insulators etc.

Providingtechnical support forinstallation and commissioningactivitiesforthe HVDC projectsunderexecution.

Preparingproposal/presentation of engineeringprojects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimatedengineeringhours etc.

Preparingprojectdocumentation and demonstratingeffectiveinteractionwithcustomers, suppliers and contractorstoachievehis/herscope of deliveries.

Ensuringadherencetosafetystandards and mitigation of potentialrisks.

Living Hitachi Energy corevalues of safety and integrity, whichmeanstakingresponsibilityforyourownactionswhilecaringforyourcolleagues and thebusiness.

Yourbackground

A Bachelor’sdegree in mechanicalengineering or relateddiscipline.

Experience in 3D-Modeling and preforming 2D-drawings/layouts in Software tools NX/TC.

A highlevel of self-motivation, curiosity and desiretolearnaboutnew Technologies.

A collaborative, solutions-orientedapproach and strongcommunicationskills.

Someyears of experience in substationengineering or similar.

Experience in substationengineering of HighVoltage/ExtraHighVoltagesubstation Project.
