Operations Director

Greenvolt Next France is looking for a Operations Director to join its team, who will be a direct contributor to the growth of Greenvolt footprint in France by actively participating in the supervision of construction and project management activities of large-scale renewable energy projects, mainly solar PV. This role plays a critical leadership role, ensuring that all operational aspects of the business run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations across production, logistics, and supply chain.

• Ensure smooth, safe, and efficient execution of all operational activities.

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Contribute to and implement long-term strategic plans.

• Align operations with corporate goals and sustainability targets.

Resource Management

• Optimize the use of human, financial, and material resources.

• Ensure the availability and efficient use of equipment and infrastructure.

Process Optimization

• Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Leverage technology and innovation to enhance productivity.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.

• Identify and mitigate operational risks, including those related to supply chain disruptions.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams.

• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance.

Performance Monitoring

• Analyze operational data and KPIs to assess performance.

• Report to executive leadership and recommend improvements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, HR, sustainability).

• Maintain relationships with regulators, suppliers, and community stakeholders.

• Engineering background (preferable Electrical/Civil Engineer)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Renewable Energy projects mainly from PV construction with focus on rooftops and carports.
• Experienced in Interconnections and Parks.
• All round experience in bringing RtB projects to COD.
• Solid Construction Management experience in renewable power plant and high voltage infrastructures.
• Good understanding on how to handle communication with the different stakeholders during the Construction process.
• Keep costs aligned with construction budgets, and time schedule.
• Experience in working with Auto cad, MS Project, MS Office.
• Familiarity with the components and technical equipment usually installed in solar PV plants and high voltage lines and substations.
• Negotiation skills and problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communicative abilities.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Availability to travel.
• Good understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers and BOP Contractors.
• Good English language skills (written/Spoken)
• Good reporting and teamwork skills.
