Pipeline Tow Supervisor / Tow Master PA-d2m-306

d2m Services is currently seeking, on behalf of its partner leading supervision works for an offshore project in Angola, an experienced Tow Master / Pipeline Tow Supervisor to oversee offshore towing operations involving subsea pipelines, bundles, and floating structures. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all marine towing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate offshore towing operations (pipelines, bundles, floating structures).
• Ensure full compliance with approved procedures, marine standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate tugboats, barges, AHTS vessels, deck teams, and survey/navigation crews.
• Assess weather forecasts and define safe operational windows.
• Monitor towing stability, hydrodynamic behavior, and structural integrity throughout operations.
• Participate in operational reviews, risk assessments, and technical meetings.
• Prepare operational reports and lessons learned.

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Maritime Studies.

• 5–10+ years of experience in offshore towing operations.

• Valid BOSIET and/or STCW Basic Safety Training certification.

• Previous experience as Tow Master, Tow Supervisor, or Marine Superintendent strongly preferred.

Key Competencies:

• Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, towing stability, and structure behavior during tow operations.

• Hands-on experience with tugboat coordination, winches, and towing wire management.

• Ability to interpret marine weather, navigation routes, and operational plans.

• Knowledge of offshore navigation, survey, mooring procedures, and AHTS operations.

Contract Details:

• Immediate mobilization.
• Working schedule: Single status or rotation .
• Estimated contract duration: six (6) months
