Alta Ares is a deeptech startup founded in 2024, building real-time AI for defense operations (ISR, C-UAS). Our primary clients are NATO-aligned militaries, with regular deployments during live exercises. Raised €2M pre-seed in May 2025 Products include:

Role & Missions

Production Quality Control

• Define and implement quality control processes for drone platforms and avionics subsystems.
• Establish and execute validation procedures for production hardware including: embedded electronics,sensors,radio modules,batteries,mechanical components,3D printed parts

• Perform functional testing and quality inspections on assembled drones and avionics subassemblies.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and operational requirements.
  

Testing & Validation

• Execute production validation protocols and test procedures.
• Participate in system-level integration testing prior to flight operations.
• Verify hardware performance, reliability, and safety prior to operational deployment.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of hardware issues.

Non-Conformity Management

• Identify, document, and track non-conformities during production and testing.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions in coordination with engineering teams.
• Ensure traceability of components, assemblies, and production batches.
• Maintain detailed quality documentation and validation reports.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with: R&D teams,avionics engineers,production teams & flight testing teams
• Support the continuous improvement of production processes and hardware reliability.
• Contribute to scaling Alta Ares’ drone manufacturing and integration capabilities.
  
  
  

Candidate profile

You are a rigorous and hands-on engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware testing, avionics systems, and production operations. You are comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where reliability, traceability, and rapid iteration are critical.

• Engineering degree in: Aerospace Engineering,Electronics,Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Quality Engineering
• Knowledge of UAV / avionics systems,embedded electronics or mechatronics or hardware manufacturing
• Experience implementing or working with quality methods and testing procedures.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing hardware issues and non-conformities.
• Hands-on mindset and ability to work directly with hardware systems.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with drone platforms or avionics hardware.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or EN9100 quality standards.
• Experience with hardware traceability systems or production documentation.
• Exposure to defense, aerospace, or high-reliability systems.
• Experience with 3D printing or rapid manufacturing processes.
