JOB PURPOSE:

 

As the Sales Director for Food Service & Local QSR, you will be responsible for overseeing sales activities in France. You will lead a team ensuring the achievement of sales targets and the successful implementation of sales strategies. Reporting directly to the Senior Sales Director for Food Service & Local QSR, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the food service industry.

France (Villeneuve d’Ascq)

Reports to: Food Service & Local QSR Senior Director

People Management : 9 Direct reports / 16 Indirect reports

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  1. Planning & prioritization 
    1. Contribute to scope planning & budget/forecast 
    2. Translate country plans into CE level execution plans 
    3. Review objectives quarterly, provide direction to teams to execute cascading plans
    4. Identify and align resources to achieve plans – central, local and global 

 

  1. Business knowledge 
    1. Ensure deep understanding of market / customer trends and leverage industry peer network to inform strategic decision making 
    2. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of financial variables 

 

  1. Customer development 
    1. Evolve org. to align with customer needs 
    2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including local QSR chains, restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and other food service providers. 
    3. Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand market presence and increase sales opportunities. 
    4. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products and services and build networks within the food service industry.

 

  1. Key stakeholder collaboration 
    1. Recognize when and how to engage other departments in business decisions or selling process 
    2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Product Development to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. 

 

  1. Driving results 
    1. Inspire and engage team with vision and clear direction 
    2. Conduct regular business reviews to ensure targets are met, resources are allocated 
    3. Assess performance against objectives 
    4. Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, market insights, and client feedback to the Senior Sales Director.

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the food service industry, with a focus on local QSR. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies. 
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software. 
  • Knowledge of local regulations and market dynamics within the food service industry is preferred. 
  • Project & team management

  • Ability to travel within the country and internationally as required.
