Senior Accountant

at one of our locations in Europe region - in Masevaux, France

Your tasks:

We are looking for an Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle, tax compliance, and financial reporting for our sites in France and Switzerland. This role combines hands-on accounting, process improvement, and leadership responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations.

• Manage full-cycle accounting for 2 companies, including general ledger entries, monthly/annual closings, payroll data integration, and preparation of manual invoices.

• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance by preparing and submitting VAT (France, Germany, Switzerland), Intrastat declarations, and other mandatory reports, ensuring accurate reconciliations.

• Oversee financial accuracy by verifying account consistency, monitoring balance sheets, and ensuring timely, reliable reporting.

• Control receivables and cash flow through client invoicing, payment follow-ups, and debt collection.

• Support audits and inspections (tax, insurance, financial) and maintain required documentation.

• Collaborate and communicate with internal departments, group accounting teams, clients, auditors, and external accountants to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

• Drive process improvement and provide leadership by proposing efficiency measures, supporting accounting assistants, and substituting for the Finance Manager when required.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (Bac+2 or higher) in Accounting or Finance

• Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, and tax compliance

  Experience in managing full-cycle accounting, including monthly and annual closings

  Proven ability to handle VAT, Intrastat (DEB), and other regulatory declarations

  Experience in client account management, including payment follow-ups and debt collection

  Familiarity with audits and inspections (tax, financial, insurance)

• Main Competencies: Strong expertise in general accounting and financial reporting

  Knowledge of French, Swiss tax regulations

  Ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes

  Skilled in process improvement and continuous optimization of accounting operations

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting and office software (Xpert, SAP, Excel, Word, Board, or similar)

• Languages: French - Native, plus English or German – Conversational level
