Senior Legal Counsel, Tax

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to shape tax strategy, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency across global jurisdictions. Accountabilities

• Provide strategic advice on tax-efficient structures, with a focus on minimizing liabilities and optimizing after-tax returns.
• Support M&A and corporate initiatives from due diligence to post-transaction activities, including managing legal advisors.
• Prepare and validate tax reports and returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
• Advise on indirect taxation (VAT, customs, environmental taxes) and transfer pricing matters.
• Engage with tax authorities, lead audits and negotiations, and manage local tax advisors.
• Monitor global tax law developments and assess their impact on the organization.
• Establish and document internal tax controls to ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct tax compliance research at local, national, and international levels.

• Master's degree in tax and corporate law from a French university with a strong academic background.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in tax law, ideally combining law firm and in-house legal practice.
• Solid technical knowledge of international tax law, structuring, and corporate/M&A legal support.
• Fluent in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues, negotiate effectively, and engage with authorities and stakeholders.
• Hands-on approach with a collaborative mindset and adaptability to fast-changing environments.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to compliance in all legal matters.
• Based in or able to work from Massy (91300), in the Paris-Saclay area.
