The Charles River Lyon site is a unique 14-hectare campus located in the Azergues Valley. The role : 


 


To join our Pathology Department, we are seeking a Veterinary Pathologist II - CDI. In our GLP environment, you will be responsible for independently performing microscopic evaluation of tissues, recording results, preparing reports detailing pathological findings, and assisting with necropsy supervision, while serving as a key point of contact for our clients and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction



Mission and responsabilities : 



  • Interact with clients to assure satisfaction.

  • Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluation and interpretation of assigned studies.

  • Assist with necropsy supervision.

  • Enter pathology findings in data capturing system(s).

  • Write comprehensive report narratives detailing all test article effects. As needed, work with study directors to ensure data is accurately integrated into study reports.

  • May serve as principal investigator for contract pathology work.

  • May participate in pathology working group (PWG) as an observer.

  • Provide training, technical guidance and leadership to laboratory staff and may provide training, guidance, and leadership to less experienced pathologists.

  • May serve as a consultant in pathology-related issues.

  • May provide scientific expertise for experimental design and other aspects of research studies as needed.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge in toxicologic pathology (e.g., attendance to pathology meetings)

  • Participate to global CRL committees/projects as needed.


 


Qualification : 


 



  • You hold a Doctoral degree from an accredited veterinary school, or acceptable international equivalent in veterinary medicine.

  • The American/European College of Veterinary Pathologists (A.C.V.P./E.C.V.P.) board-certification is required

  • You have at least 3 years of experience of pathology experience and a specialized training and/or experience in toxicology pathology is preferred.

  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • You enjoy working independently, sharing ideas, collaborating across teams.

  • You are recognized for your decision-making skills and your ability to solve complex problems.


 


Contract Terms and Benefits: 



  • Permanent employment contract (Executive status, annual working days package with additional RTT days)

  • Salary: Starting  €75 000 per year, paid over 13 months. The salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate's skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience

  • 60% employer contribution to health insurance, on-site company restaurant, and Employee Social & Economic Committee (CSE) benefits

  • Transportation allowance remote working agreement, and additional benefits

  • The site is not accessible by public transportation – personal transportation is required.
