Position Overview
Keensight Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intern Compliance Officer to join its Compliance Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and ongoing monitoring of Know Your Customer (KYC) and AML/CFT processes for investors, potential investments, and service providers, in line with French and European regulatory requirements.
You will work in close collaboration with the Compliance, Investment, and Finance teams, as well as in direct contact with clients and external stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of due diligence documentation throughout the onboarding and monitoring processes.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in KYC and AML compliance within a fast-paced and dynamic private equity environment, gaining direct exposure to the operational and regulatory aspects of a European investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the onboarding and review of investors and counterparties, ensuring all required KYC documentation is collected and up to date.
- Assist in conducting AML/CFT checks, including screening against sanctions lists and adverse media monitoring.
- Contribute to the maintenance and update of compliance registers and databases (investor files, incidents, training logs, etc.).
- Help prepare and review periodic reports and internal dashboards for compliance and internal control purposes.
- Assist with the performance and documentation of internal controls, help identify potential gaps or weaknesses, and contribute to the follow-up of corrective actions.
- Participate in the enhancement of KYC tools and processes, including automation and digitalization initiatives.
Qualification
- Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) student in Finance, Law, or Audit (specialization in Compliance or Risk Management is a plus).
- A first experience in KYC and/or compliance is a plus, ideally within:
- a private equity firm,
- a regulated financial institution,
- a Big 4 or consulting firm.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic, international environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Interview Process
- Interview with the Chief Compliance Officer and Junior Compliance Officer (approx. 45 minutes).
- Interview with a HR Officer in English (approx. 30 minutes).
