Job Description:

Our investment teams, who manages around €29 billion in assets, is looking for an intern (M/F) who has studied management, sustainability, or financial markets. The internship would begin in July 2026 and last 6 months.

The company’s investment philosophy combines a fundamental "stock picking" approach, integrating ESG from research to every step of our investment processes. We consider Stewardship and engagements as part of our fiduciary duties. 

General Overview of Responsibilities:

This internship will help you understand the work of an ESG Analyst. You will interact closely with our Analysts/Portfolio Managers from the Japanese team, and will be trained in Comgest's ESG analysis methodology and tools by a member of the team.

Your main mission will be to review, update and supplement the content of the existing ESG reports on the companies in which our funds are invested. You will be in charge of conducting ESG research on those companies to look for additional data, and adapt the format of the reports to the requirements of the SFDR regulation by transferring the updated content to our new ESG application called “ESG Assessment Template”.

The internship will be an excellent opportunity to build experience on evaluating and rating companies from an ESG fundamental standpoint by getting extensive exposure to a large number of investment cases in various sectors, and practicing how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of companies’ governance and their positioning towards environmental and social risks and opportunities.

Profile

- Student in final year of university (Master’s degree) or on a gap year

- 1st experience in asset management (desirable)

- Strong interest in financial markets, and in responsible or ESG investment

- Responsive, serious, adaptable, good interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit

- Detail-oriented, capable of analysis and writing

- Fluent English is essential, both written and spoken

- French and/or other language is a plus

Tasks: 

- Review, update and transfer of existing ESG analysis into our new ESG application called “ESG Assessment Template”

- Specific studies, updating portfolio monitoring tools, etc.

- Participation in company meetings when have time

-Participation in engagement actions with companies when necessary

- Writing meeting reports on ESG related topics when needed.
