We’re a team of 30, working from Paris, in the Sentier area (75002).

daphni’s mission is to manage the planet transition and to empower founders to build a socially and environmentally sustainable future by leveraging new usage, deep tech & disruptive innovations. In a practical way, daphni supports innovative projects that helps to reduce social inequalities as well as the carbon footprint from 10 to 2 tons eq/year/person. As an example, we’ve invested in startups like Back Market, Geev, Swile, Hubcycle, Ever Dye, Underdog and Faume. (our whole portfolio is available here)

You will join the ESG & Impact team and work directly with Damien Didier, Head of Sustainability.

You will work closely with all internal teams (marketing, finance & community) depending on the projects you lead.

This internship offers direct exposure to how ESG and impact are built, measured and reported inside a VC firm.

📝 The missions

This is a hands-on ESG & Impact internship, with a strong focus on production, data analysis and reporting.

You will contribute to making ESG and impact concrete, operational and useful : for investors, for founders and for daphni itself. ESG is embedded at every step at daphni.

It is about doing, structuring, analysing and delivering.

🎯 Your main responsibilities

ESG and Impact reporting production

You will actively contribute to the production and improvement of ESG and impact reporting, including

• Producing ESG and impact reports for investors, the ecosystem and internal use
• Responding to specific ESG requests from investors and other stakeholders
• Updating and improving reporting templates used by portfolio companies
• Contributing to PRI reporting, regulatory ESG reporting and LP reporting
• Structuring processes to make reporting more efficient as the portfolio grows

You will have real ownership, not just an execution role.

Data monitoring and analysis

• Track ESG and impact data as the portfolio scales
• Analyse ESG and impact data at portfolio and company level
• Build dashboards and monitoring tools
• Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities

Portfolio support and benchmarking

• Analyse ESG and impact data for each portfolio company
• Prepare tailored benchmarks to help founders understand where they stand
• Support the delivery of actionable insights and recommendations
• Contribute to ESG and impact tools designed for founders toolbox, templates, guides

Sustainability frameworks and ecosystem watch

• Monitor major sustainability and impact frameworks and regulations
• Help decipher what is happening across ESG, impact measurement and reporting standards
• Produce synthesis notes to support strategic decisions
• Participate in French and European ESG and impact working groups

Impact topics and methodologies

• Work on impact related topics across environmental and social dimensions
• Contribute to the development of new impact and sustainability methodologies
• Support the evolution of ESG and impact scoring frameworks
• Help test, refine and document these methodologies

Room to innovate (because we are a VC)

This role offers room to innovate.

• Propose new tools, formats and methodologies
• Improve how ESG and impact data is collected, analysed and used
• Challenge existing frameworks and adapt them to early stage venture capital
• Help turn ESG and impact into useful decision making tools, not just compliance
