Financial Data Operations Intern COO Right-Hand

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven analyst with valuation fundamentals and a strong appetite for data. You’ll help onboard VC & Growth Equity funds onto ScaleX Invest by structuring high-quality investment data, supporting valuation workflows, and industrialising onboarding processes — including through AI-enabled automation.

A great stepping stone towards a future Private Equity role, as you’ll build rigorous valuation reflexes and hands-on exposure to fund-grade portfolio data.

Job description

Reporting directly to Edouard (COO & CPO), you will contribute to client onboarding and data operations for VC, Growth Equity & PE funds. Your responsibilities will cover:

Client Data Onboarding:

• Draft import specs for the tech team 
• Validate post-import datasets (reporting, cap tables) with financial sanity checks
• Flag data gaps early and propose pragmatic fixes to keep onboarding on track

Private Markets Valuations:

• Review and normalise reporting KPIs (revenue, EBITDA, key operating metrics)
• Select relevant private peers and maintain private comparable databases 
• Contribute to improving and training our peer-matching algorithms

Valuation Method Improvement:

• Run backtesting and correlation analyses to assess model robustness
• Contribute to IPEV-aligned controls: consistency checks, documentation, traceability

Product Support & Project Tracking:

• Support client-specific feature delivery in coordination with the Product team
• Execute testing, report issues clearly, and propose improvements
• Produce training materials to accelerate onboarding and adoption

Your profile

• You have a first exposure to Venture Capital, Growth Equity or Private Equity, and you’re curious about how funds operate.
• You have solid foundations in private markets valuation, and you’re comfortable working with financial statements, turning raw data into valuation-ready inputs.
• You are comfortable with advanced Excel; Python is a plus.
• You enjoy working in a data-driven environment and you’re curious about how AI can help scale and automate workflows.
• You are fluent in French and English, as you will work in an international environment.
