Description of the Team

The Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) Prototyping Team focuses on the development of next generation optical quantum computing systems. Their primary responsibility is designing and refining R&D QPUs, which are accessible through the Quandela's cloud platform. The team works on developing modular components, adding new features, and improving the performance of the QPU to align with Quandela’s long-term quantum computer architecture.

Description of the Project

In photonic quantum information processing, feedforward refers to real-time operations performed on a quantum system based on the measurement outcomes of previous operations.

We are developping a module that will be included in our quantum processing units (QPU) to enhance their computing capabilities.

The selected candidate will work closely with our lead researchers to participate in the development of this module in our state-of-the-art quantum computing laboratory.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test a complex optical module for quantum information processing
  • Develop Python scripts to control the experimental setup
  • Write tests reports and documentation
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Demonstrated interest in expertimental quantum optics
  • Ability to propose creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Not required, but a plus: Basic knowledge of quantum mechanics
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Internship Allowance between €1,200 and €1,400 per month 💰
